Blaze-Strong‘s mission is to promote the truth about the cannabis plant and inspire people to unite and fight for their right to make use of cannabis, which has grown on Earth for thousands of years. We believe that cannabis has significant medical value for patients who suffer from AIDS, glaucoma, cancer, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, chronic pain, and many other illnesses. There are many researchers, professionals, scientists and doctors who support and document this belief. We believe that cannabis has significant value as a commodity. Its many uses are evident in building materials; fuel sources; profitable farming; fabric and clothing; food, nutrition and body care products.
These words describe us at Blaze-Strong and are what drives our passion. We are on a path that will send us and drive us to accomplish our goal of unifying a world under a just cause. We strive for human rights. We are here to educate and open people’s minds to the wonderful possibilities of cannabis. We are here to speak the truth and unify like-minded individuals. We are open and honest communicators. We state issues correctly and succinctly. We listen carefully to all arguments. We get facts. We have a sense of equity. We are compassionate. If an opponent is unethical, we do not stoop to their level. We are in pursuit of complete human and environmental wellness.
Just as Alcohol Prohibitionists used propaganda and the media to influence American citizens to allow the outlawing of alcohol, so to, did the U.S. government and the media scare Americans into believing that cannabis was bad. Each outlet spread falsehoods about cannabis which led to its prohibition. Examples of this can be found in such sources as, Marijuana makes fiends of boys in 30 days, Reefer Madness, Marijuana: The devil’s weed with roots in hell, etc. We hope to lift the ban on cannabis, just as it was lifted on alcohol. After all, alcohol is a substance which kills and poisons the human body and it is perfectly legal! According to Martin Booth author of Cannabis: A History, the only way that cannabis would kill someone is through carbon monoxide poisoning from 800 joints.
We ask the questions: Why would something that is grown from mother Earth and has assets that heal the human body and mind be illegal? Why are man-made substances like alcohol and nicotine, which poison people, legal? You can die from alcohol poisoning and get cancer from nicotine. There is no evidence suggesting that anyone can overdose on cannabis. Blaze-Strong enthusiasts ponder these ideas.
Just because there is a law saying that cannabis is illegal doesn’t make it right. There are many examples of senseless laws in American history. According to the 1847 Virginia Criminal Code: “Any white person who shall assemble with slaves, [or] free negroes . . . for the purpose of instructing them to read or write, . . .shall be punished by confinement in the jail . . . and by fine . . .” Under this code, Margaret Douglass, of Norfolk, Virginia, a former slaveholder, was arrested, imprisoned, and fined when authorities discovered that she was teaching “free colored children” of the Christ’s Church Sunday school to read and write. The U.S. Supreme Court’s Dred Scott decision in 1857 declared that slaves were not citizens but property. (Note: Blaze-Strong is not attempting to compare the undignified race struggles in America with that of cannabis reform. We are simply noting that erroneous laws exist and that they can be made just. Please add a comment with other laws that fit into this category. We will review and add pertinent laws to this section).
Billions of taxpayers’ dollars are being spent each year to police and incarcerate Cannabis Believers, while this money could be used towards actual violent and dangerous groups. There is an unwarranted stigma that goes with the Cannabis Believer. There are those who look down on us. Those people at the same time “legally” drink their poisons, smoke their cancer, and pop their prescriptions. Blaze-Strong is not concerned with individuals who use these legal drugs because it is an American right to do so. We are simply noting the prodigious hypocrisy that exists in American law and culture. We strive for the self-respect and independence of the human spirit. Cannabis Believers can break down the walls of bureaucracy and discrimination by showing support and joining together. We are here to blast through the red tape for a call to action.
We are loyal and patriotic Americans, and just as Americans do, we will not stop until justice prevails. Blaze-Strong is uniting Cannabis Believers in a cause worth fighting for. There are many new health and industrial opportunities that come with cannabis reform. There are also millions of people who do not know about these possibilities. Each and every person reading these words can chose to enlighten and educate others simply by exhibiting a unified effort in the form of a wristband.
Through mass organization we will build a machine of unyielding action. By the mobilization of our mass power we can cause a change for the better in this wonderful country of ours. Only if we are unified and proudly show our co-ordination can we accomplish our goals. 50 % of Americans support cannabis reform; that’s more than 150 million of us! Remember, as Paul Hanna says, “Goals are dreams with deadlines”, and our deadline is NOW. We thus propose that Cannabis Believers unite and where a Blaze-Strong wristband that proudly displays their support so that everyone can see that we are everywhere and our numbers are great.
We at Blaze-Strong are on a journey to abolish the chains of bureaucracy and unite a world of Cannabis Believers. Here are the truths, here are the facts. Decide for yourself to open the door and support a just cause: a cause to end unmerited sanctions. Let us join together; support what you believe in and contribute to the cause. Help to promote and educate cannabis reform by purchasing a Blaze-Strong wristband. $1 for every wristband purchased will be donated to medical marijuana research and development.
